Define the connection before enabling it
- Name the source and destination account, record and field.
- Specify which event starts the update and which system owns the final state.
- Identify who can approve access and resolve failures.
- Agree how duplicate, delayed or conflicting updates will be handled.
Which states must remain separate?
| Reported event | What it does not establish |
|---|---|
| Lead received | A rep has contacted the customer |
| Quote accepted | The deposit has been collected |
| Job linked | Every operational field is synced |
| Provider status read | The underlying claim is approved |
Example: the same event arrives twice
Illustrative test: an acceptance notification is delivered twice for one offer. Ask the integration provider to demonstrate how the event is recognised and how the destination avoids duplicate work. Then send a delayed older update in a controlled test and check that the current record is not silently replaced. Record the observed outcome rather than assuming a retry is safe.

Which scope should you verify in ArcSolar?
ArcSolar documents specific Meta lead and qualification feedback, provider associations and workspace-dependent ServiceM8 linking. These do not establish a general-purpose public API for every customer workflow or automatic syncing of every field. Inspect the named connection and its supported actions.
Test one connection from source to saved record
Use fictional records and the integration test sheet. In an ArcSolar demo, follow the source reference into the customer or project and inspect the observation time and next owner.
