Solar quote price books: check what can be used today

Check the selected selling brand and the price's status before preparing a customer offer. In ArcSolar, a saved number can be a draft, future or expired price. The quote needs the applicable published price, not simply the latest number someone entered.

What should the quote owner check?

  • Select the intended selling brand and review its price book.
  • Check the exact product, supplier basis, GST setting and applicable state pricing.
  • Confirm that the product is active and its published price is effective today.
  • Preview a sample quote after an authorised catalogue change; check quantity, unit and exclusions.

A price under another brand does not supply the selected brand's book. Copied prices start as drafts and still need review.

Example: a gap between two prices

Illustrative GST-inclusive selling prices: the A$2,400 battery price ended on 8 October. A new A$2,600 price starts on 15 October. On 9 October, neither establishes a current price. Ask the authorised catalogue owner to resolve the gap, then recheck the quote.

Pricing and quote issuance are separate

A current price does not establish product eligibility, stock or approval to issue an offer. Additional selling brands currently support drafts but cannot issue quotes under the documented rollout. Confirm availability before using them.

Catalogue edits do not rewrite an issued quote. Review revision eligibility and commercial locks before changing a customer offer.

Try one reviewed product in a demo

Compare the catalogue row with the customer preview and issued-document workflow. ArcSolar keeps product, pricing and quote context together so the next person can see what needs review.
