Missed solar calls: recover the enquiry and measure the real gap

A missed call is a contact event that needs review. It may be a new enquiry, an existing customer, a supplier or another attempt from the same caller. Start with an owned callback process and record what happened. Counting every ring as a lost installation inflates the opportunity.

What should the callback owner review?

  • Find the matching customer, number and recent conversation.
  • Identify the call outcome and any voicemail or context available.
  • Check contact permission and the suitable channel and calling window.
  • Assign the callback, due time and next action; record the result.

Example: six missed events do not mean six lost jobs

Illustrative call log: caller A rang three times, caller B twice and a supplier once. That is six events, three unique callers and at most two potential customer enquiries. If one customer answers the callback, record one recovered conversation. A booking, accepted offer and confirmed deposit remain later outcomes.

How should you assess the cost?

Review the staff time needed for the callback queue and the qualified opportunities actually observed. If you model future value, label the reach rate, close rate and contribution assumptions as a scenario. A missed-call count alone cannot establish lost revenue.

Which automation should you verify?

ArcSolar provides calling and messaging from customer context, with setup and billing prerequisites. A queued SMS is not proof of contact. Planned AI voice agents are separate from the current phone workflow; do not assume an autonomous receptionist or missed-call text-back rule is enabled.
