Prepare the right inputs
Use the same customer, tariff period and household-demand basis for both scenarios. State whether the existing array stays, expands or is replaced. Then review compatible equipment and the installation scope independently.
A practical example
- Scenario A retains the array and adds storage. Scenario B replaces or expands solar and adds storage. Compare upfront total, included work, generation assumptions and estimated future costs.
- Illustrative difference: an expanded array can change charging energy as well as capital cost. Do not attribute the entire estimated saving difference to the battery.
Keep these boundaries clear
This is a comparison procedure, not a claim of a side-by-side scenario feature in ArcSolar. Prepare and review the supported offers separately; keep only the intended current offer available for acceptance.
Put the checklist to work
Use one representative record to test the workflow before rolling it out across the team. Confirm what is supported in your plan and who owns unresolved work.
