Prepare the right inputs
Collect the intended bill, usage period, import rates, feed-in credit and daily supply charge. Identify grid purchases versus household use and the existing solar configuration before selecting battery assumptions.
A practical example
- Check: demand timing, usable evidence period, generation, storage capacity, losses, exports and whether finance repayments are included in the displayed comparison.
- Illustrative review: a low winter bill cannot establish a full year of consumption. Record the limitation and request better evidence before presenting a precise annual outcome.
Keep these boundaries clear
This checklist does not certify design, compatibility or payback. If the inputs cannot support a useful estimate, resolve them or use the supported omit-savings option rather than present a number without a basis.
Put the checklist to work
Use one representative record to test the workflow before rolling it out across the team. Confirm what is supported in your plan and who owns unresolved work.
