Prepare the right inputs
The manager confirms the rep’s own account, role, assigned work and phone readiness. Use an approved fictional practice record. Company integrations, billing and commercial permissions remain manager responsibilities.
A practical example
- Practice sequence: find the customer; explain the last conversation; create an owned follow-up; review site evidence; prepare a quote; inspect the customer preview; describe the handover.
- Manager checkpoint: ask the rep to distinguish an issued offer, acceptance and confirmed deposit. A rep who can find each record is better prepared than one who only knows the screen names.
Keep these boundaries clear
Do not send training quotes or messages to real customers or collect a practice payment. The documentation course is training support, not a certification or guarantee of sales performance.
Put the checklist to work
Use one representative record to test the workflow before rolling it out across the team. Confirm what is supported in your plan and who owns unresolved work.
