Keep the two pathways separate
- Discount: up to $4,000, with applications coming soon. The published pathway covers eligible NSW residents with an eligible concession card or gross household income up to $80,000, subject to the full criteria and required property permissions.
- Loan: applications open for eligible property owners, including landlords, with taxable household income up to $210,000. Participating finance providers assess the zero-interest loan of up to $15,000. It must be repaid.
Confirm the provider and application order
The discount page lists heat pump water heaters, reverse-cycle air conditioners and Level 2 EV chargers among eligible upgrade categories. Detailed discount product guidelines were still pending; a category listing does not approve a particular model or installer.
NSW advises waiting and applying for the discount first if seeking both supports for the same purchase. Its current guidance says a loan-first purchase cannot later receive that discount. Confirm the current process and approved supplier with the provider before committing.
Example: two upgrades, one unresolved discount
Illustrative enquiry: a household asks for hot water and air conditioning together. Record both requested upgrades and the assessed installation scope. Keep the proposed discount conditional while applications are closed; do not subtract $4,000 for each appliance. Ask the provider to confirm the combined purchase and any finance sequence.

Keep approval with the scheme and finance providers
This is NSW guidance checked on 20 October, not a loan recommendation or eligibility decision. Other incentives have their own rules. ArcSolar does not approve applications or establish supplier accreditation; no Home Energy Saver connection or automatic eligibility feed is claimed.
